Jeremy Piven wins a Golden Globe award for Supporting Actor in a series, playing Ari Gold in Entourage. He bested Kevin Dillon, who plays Johhny Drama, for the title.

Both of them were deserving, and although most, including me, were routing for Kevin Dillon, Jeremy is as deserving as he is. Both are fine actors and do a good job in Entourage.

Eric acts as Vince’s manager, sometimes causing friction between these lifelong friends. Eric reads Vince’s scripts for him, and knows his friend’s next move depends on how well Eric can get a grasp of the Hollywood shuffle. Eric’s advice to Vince also periodically angered Ari, who feared that Eric’s advice may have steered Vince towards the wrong projects. The tensions between Ari and E boiled over after Vince got bumped from the Ramones biopic, eventually leading Eric to fire Vince Chase’s first (and only) agent.

But stardom is never a guarantee, and Vince made a risky choice in picking the indie film “Queens Boulevard” instead of a larger, more commercial film. Luckily, Vince’s turn in “QB” paid off, leading to him being cast in James Cameron’s blockbuster “Aquaman,” a role that catapulted him to the top of Hollywood’s power lists. Unfortunately, the good fortune didn’t last, as Vince was dumped from “Aquaman 2″ after a disagreement with the studio. Other problems derailed Vince’s involvement in both “Medellin” and “I Wanna Be Sedated,” leading to the possibility that Vince’s time on the A-list may be short-lived.
